HOUSTON, TX – A man was shot multiple times following a disturbance outside a convenience store late Saturday night in the 8000 block of West Tidwell. https://youtu.be/FsOmxM2db4E The incident occurred around 11:15 p.m. According to police, the victim and his girlfriend had an altercation with a group of males at a convenience store. The group followed the couple to their apartment complex, where the altercation escalated. One of the males produced a handgun and shot the victim multiple times in the abdomen. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he is reported to be in stable condition. No suspect information is available at this time. Life Flight was called and all eastbound main lanes of US-90 were temporarily closed. Shooter arrested in killing of off-duty Harris County Constable Deputy

HARRIS COUNTY, TX - The alleged shooter in the killing of off-duty Harris County Precinct 3 Deputy Constable Omar Ursin has been taken into custody. According to court documents, Douglas Wooten rolled down the back window of a vehicle and fired four shots at the car Ursin was driving. Ursin then crashed into a tree and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Court documents also reveal that Wooten claimed he fired because Ursin allegedly pointed a gun at him and others.
