HOUSTON, TX – Around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, a Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputy discovered a man with an apparent gunshot wound near his home in a trailer park neighborhood in the 15600 block of S Champagne Circle outside Tomball. https://youtu.be/sp-7c88R-RE According to investigators, the deputy was arriving home when he encountered the injured man asking for help. Shortly after making contact, the man lost consciousness. EMS responded to the scene, but the man was pronounced deceased. HARRIS COUNTY, TX – According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, Harris County Sheriff’s Office units responded to a major crash involving an 18-wheeler rollover in the 17500 block of US-90. Life Flight was called and all eastbound main lanes of US-90 were temporarily closed. Traffic was diverted through the grass to the westbound side of the roadway at the beginning of the investigation. The condition of the driver remains unknown at this time. HARRIS COUNTY, TX - The alleged shooter in the killing of off-duty Harris County Precinct 3 Deputy Constable Omar Ursin has been taken into custody. According to court documents, Douglas Wooten rolled down the back window of a vehicle and fired four shots at the car Ursin was driving. Ursin then crashed into a tree and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Court documents also reveal that Wooten claimed he fired because Ursin allegedly pointed a gun at him and others. However, investigators stated that Ursin’s weapon was holstered at the time. Wooten was arrested on November 27, 2024 in Saint Paul, Minnesota, more than two years after the August 2022 shooting. HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Deputies are asking for the public’s help in locating 58-year-old Timothy "Tim" Bristow, who was reported missing on December 3, 2024. Bristow was last seen leaving his home near Jersey Village in a black Jeep Grand Cherokee with Texas license plate NVL1819. He is described as 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 195 pounds. Details of his clothing at the time of his disappearance are unknown. HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Constables have located a vehicle linked to a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a cyclist.
