January 14, 2023 - Two people were shot Saturday night after getting food at a taco truck in west Houston. The shooting occurred just before midnight in the 8300 block of Wilcrest. According to Lt. Leon of the Houston Police Department, police responded to a report of a drive-by shooting that occurred at the location. When they arrived, they found two victims, a male and a female who had been shot. They were both taken to a local hospital for treatment and are expected to survive. According to Lt. Leon, two Hispanic males in a red pickup truck drove by and shot at them. The male victim believes he may have known one of the victims but was not sure at the time.

January 15, 2023 - Just after 2 a.m. in north Houston, partygoers were met with gunfire outside of a club in the parking lot. The incident happened outside of a nightclub on FM 1960 in northwest Harris County. According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, multiple shooters arrived in the club parking lot, and started to open fire on people outside in the parking lot. Both 7.62 rounds and 5.62 rounds were found at the scene. In total, at least fifty casings were recovered. There is no word on what started the incident. According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, multiple people left the scene before police could question them. January 15, 2023 - A suspected intoxicated driver was arrested Sunday evening after crashing through a fence of a neighboring property and slammed into the Calvary Pentecostal Church of God located at 912 Tidwell in north Houston just after 7:30 p.m. According to Reverend Mark Cox, a woman was taken to the hospital after a pole impaled her shoulder. A teenager and a child were also outside when the accident happened but they escaped without any injuries. There were about 15 people inside the church at the time. The driver was going about 50-60 mph when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the church. He was arrested for suspicion of intoxication according to Rev. Cox.

January 15, 2023 - A man was shot outside of his parent's home in the 15000 block of Ridingwood in Missouri City, TX just before 10 p.m. Police say an unknown suspect walked up to the man who was with his girlfriend at the time and fired one shot. The suspect then left the scene on foot. It is not known if he had a vehicle waiting down the street. January 3, 2023 - The man who has been identified as Pablo Patino set fire to his wife's family home after setting the home on fire. [videopack id="3917"]https://www.houstonstringer.com/wp-content/uploads/1673/69/Mortimer-Fire-.mov[/videopack] The fire started around 3:30 a.m. on Mortimer Drive in northwest Houston.  His wife, stepdaughter, and several of their family members were inside the home at the time. Police ended up arresting Patino after a standoff that ended when Patino set his own home on fire and climbed out of a window.    

January 7, 2023 - A man was shot in the torso while driving down Navigation in east Houston around 2:30 a.m. [videopack id="3901"]https://www.houstonstringer.com/wp-content/uploads/1673/65/Navigation-Shooting_Final.mov[/videopack] According to police, the man said that a "cream-colored" Chevy truck with several individuals inside of it shot at him before making a U-Turn and fleeing the scene. The man also told police that he might have been racing the truck but he didn't know if he was or was not the intended target. He was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
