October 26, 2022 - A 17-year-old has been charged and arrested after the Houston Police Department says he shot at a police officer outside of a nightclub located at 5908 Gulfton Street around 3:25 a.m. on September 1, 2022. Photo Courtesy of HPD According to HPD: "Officers responded to a disturbance call outside a night club at the above address and spoke with a security guard who stated multiple suspects, possibly juveniles, were at the location with a weapon. As officers investigated the incident, the suspects, who were near the scene, discharged a handgun towards the officers’ location prior to fleeing on foot." Robinson Hernandez Cruz has been charged and arrested for aggravated assault after he stabbed a woman family member "multiple times" on Saturday, October 22, 2022, around 9:55 p.m. According to the Houston Police Department: "HPD patrol officers were dispatched to 4412 North Freeway and found the victim, suspect Cruz and their four children in the parking lot of a store.  Suspect Cruz told officers the victim had been stabbed by a person trying to steal his truck and had driven them to the North Freeway location.  Officers observed the victim had multiple stab wounds on her back and side.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital.  While at the hospital, statements made by the victim and her children indicated C...

An uncle has now been charged after fatally shooting his nephew in north Houston late last week. https://www.youtube.com/embed/WL8VSyfhowE First responders responded to a report of a shooting at 6019 Velma Ln. on Friday, October 21, around 6:25 p.m. Upon arrival, they found a 12-year-old that had been suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics were unable to help him and he was pronounced deceased at the scene. Cesar Chavez, 22, was identified as both the shooter and the boy's uncle. A woman was freed after being trapped in her pickup truck when it wrapped around a utility pole during a major accident in north Houston around midnight. https://www.youtube.com/embed/gIKtpWwyo4Y The accident occurred at the intersection of Little York and Aldine Westfield when a silver Kia Sportage and a black GMC Sierra collided. The official address for this incident was listed as 10799 Aldine Westfield. A fire was reported in the 6500 block of Ledbetter in southeast Houston just after 3 a.m. https://www.youtube.com/embed/JC_S-RS4Csg A man who lives in the house told us that after he arrived back from "Monster Jam" (which took place at NRG Stadium) he went to sleep and did not know the house was on fire until someone woke him up by yelling there was smoke. He said he didn't know what caused the fire and that it was an old home that needed work. However, he believes the fire may have originated from the heater since the fire appears to have started where the heater unit was inside the attic, or close to it. Izaguirre of the Houston Police Department, the shooting occurred just after 1 a.m. at the Brookdale Village Apartment complex located at 6113 Gulf Fwy in the Lawndale/Wayside area of Houston. The shooting started when two men who were just getting back from work were approached by two other men. One of the men pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the driver's chest and demanding his money and his wallet. Police reported they have a possible suspect detained, a 22-year-old relative who was possibly playing with a gun, but it is too early in the investigation to determine if the shooting was accidental or not.

A lawsuit has now been filed on behalf of the woman whose water bottle was urinated in by a janitor, which police have identified as Lucio Diaz who was assigned to clean offices at the East Houston Medical Office Building located at 1140 Westmont. 2022-68700Download According to the lawsuit, in August 2022, the woman noticed that the water bottles she left behind to drink the next day would have foul smells, or tasted foul. A family is suing an apartment complex after they say the apartment complex should be held accountable for failing to take basic security measures. This failure led to the death of a father and a five-year-old being shot multiple times. Haven-at-WestgreenDownload According to the lawsuit, which was filed by family members, the shooting occurred just outside of their apartment’s front door on January 29, 2021, around 3:30 p.m. as they were returning home after picking up the five-year-old from school.
