April 29, 2023 - At approximately 10:35 p.m., West Side Patrol officers were dispatched to 9598 Southwest Freeway in response to a reported shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered a middle Eastern male in his mid-thirties with a gunshot wound to his right rib area. The victim had driven to the location in his vehicle and entered a store seeking help. A man inside the store attempted to render aid and contacted the police. The victim informed officers that he believed he was followed from a Walmart in the Stafford area. He described the suspect's vehicle as possibly a GMC pickup truck. Houston, TX - A fatal crash that occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 30, is currently under investigation by the Houston Police Department (HPD). The incident took place at 11000 Telephone Road, where a 63-year-old woman was fatally struck by a vehicle. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. April 29, 2023 - A horrific mass shooting in Texas left five people dead, including an 8-year-old, and three children found covered in blood. The suspect, a 35-year-old man, is believed to be hiding in a wooded area approximately 10 to 12 miles from the crime scene. Multiple agencies are currently searching for him, at least as of the time of this writing. The incident began when the victims approached the suspect, who was allegedly shooting his rifle in the front yard, and asked him to stop, as they had a young baby trying to sleep. The suspect, who had been drinking, responded aggressively, ultimately entering the victim's home and shooting everyone from the neck up, execution style. Houston police are currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 4200 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) at around 10:15 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26. The identity of the deceased 42-year-old male is still pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. According to HPD Vehicular Crimes Division, the victim was a passenger in a blue Ford E450 van that was transporting furniture southbound on the main lanes of the North Freeway. Witnesses reported that the vehicle lost control, flipped on its side, and struck a concrete wall. A preliminary investigation suggests that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and the passenger was not sitting in a proper seat at the time of the accident. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim in the fatal shooting that occurred on Sunday night in Porter, Texas. Rufino Gutierrez, 34, was found dead with a gunshot wound at a residence on Holly Ridge. Initially reported as a possible suicide, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Homicide and Violent Crimes detectives are now treating the case as a homicide. The detectives, along with Crime Scene Investigators, are actively investigating the incident to determine the circumstances surrounding Gutierrez's death. April 26, 2023 - A BMW SUV crashed into a T-Mobile store located at 4830 Wilson Rd in Humble, TX. Harris County Sheriff Deputies were on scene. It is unknown if anyone was injured or any employees were in the store, but it appears the store was closed to customers at the time.

Three people were transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds after an unprovoked shooting occurred around 12:30 a.m. on April 22, 2023, in the 2100 block Branford Hills Ln in the west Harris County subdivision of Westgreen Park. Police believe the suspect has mental health issues. The suspect shot a neighbor three times without warning, prompting the victim's brother to pull out his own gun and shoot the suspect twice. The brother was also shot at least twice during the altercation. Both brothers were taken by life flight to a hospital, and all three individuals are expected to survive, as they are in stable condition. The suspect is being charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
