Houston Police shoot a man armed with a knife who was found by a stabbing victim at the Hanover - Autry Park According to Houston Police, officers responded to an assault call in the 800 block of Buffalo Park Drive. They found a man with a knife over the victim. The man "advanced on the officers who then discharged their weapons, striking him." Houston Police are investigating. Update: According to HPD Chief Troy Finner, at 3:44 a.m., officers were dispatched to an assault in progress. The suspect carjacked a construction worker that was watching over the construction site overnight. A Pct. 7 Constable was killed on April 2, 2022, after she responded to reports of a suspected drunk driver headed down Beltway 8 in Harris County just outside of Houston. The Constable pulled over on the Beltway between Hillcroft and Fondren, to wait for the driver to pass by when she was rear ended by the same driver in a F-550 truck. The impact, made her patrol unit burst into flames. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A pedestrian was fatally struck while crossing a street by a vehicle on int eh 10000 Block of Telephone Road in South Houston. The call was dispatched on April 3, 2022 at 1:25 a.m. Houston Police found a vehicle nearby that had major front end damage that likely struck the pedestrian. According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez: Two officers who work for the New Caney Independent School District were working an extra-job at the ShowBiz Cinemas in the Fall Creek area of Humble, TX (4811 Canyon Trace Dr) and were shot at by potential catalytic converter theft suspects who then attempted to run them over. This is footage of a secondary crime scene at a Circle K gas station (2697 FM 1960, Houston, TX 77073) to where Deputy Darren Almendarez was shot and killed. Police have not elaborated on this scene. A silver Ford Edge was on a tow truck with a "Police Lives Matter" sticker on the back windshield while police investigated.
