According to court records (Case No. 25-3074), Ahmed, a native and citizen of Bangladesh, fled to the United States in 2016 after a violent dispute with his paternal cousins over family property. According to court records (Case No. 24-1667), Jett pleaded guilty to federal drug-trafficking charges stemming from a 2020 investigation in Kalamazoo. PARKIN, AR – Three people were killed after a Cessna 210B aircraft crashed in a marshy area south of Highway 306 near Parkin on October 6, 2025. According to the Arkansas State Police, the agency, in coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration and the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center, began a search around 3:15 p.m. after Memphis Air Traffic Control lost radar contact and communications with the aircraft traveling from New Orleans to Jonesboro. NEW ORLEANS, LA – New Orleans Police are investigating a homicide after a teenage male was found shot to death in Algiers on October 6, 2025. According to investigators, officers responded to the 3700 block of Texas Drive shortly after 8 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Fourth District officers found the victim on the ground suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. New Orleans EMS pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name and official cause of death after notifying next of kin and conducting an autopsy. DALLAS, TX – According to police, a tip submitted to Southwest Patrol Crime Response Team officers led to the seizure of more than 150 kilograms of methamphetamine, cash, and a firearm earlier this month. On October 1, officers located a suspect believed to be trafficking narcotics in the 4300 block of Communications Drive. During a subsequent traffic stop, they discovered 162 kilograms of methamphetamine, approximately $100,000 in currency, and a handgun inside the vehicle.
