Suspects sought after $1,300 vape theft from store on Mason Road

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Constable Mark Herman’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects involved in a theft reported on the morning of September 13, 2025, in the 15200 block of Mason Road. According to investigators, between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m., two male suspects entered a store twice. During their second visit, the clerk refused to provide free merchandise. In response, one suspect grabbed a display case filled with vaping products valued at $1,300 and walked out of the store without paying. The second suspect held the door open to assist. Both suspects fled the scene on foot heading northbound on Mason Road. Deputies rescue 2-year-old left in hot SUV at H-E-B parking lot in northwest Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to an H-E-B parking lot Monday morning after receiving reports of a two-year-old child locked inside an SUV that was not running. Upon arrival, deputies found the child sweating in the back seat. With assistance from the Cy-Fair Fire Department, first responders were able to quickly and safely remove the child from the vehicle. The child was evaluated and is expected to be okay. Constable Herman’s Office is reminding the public of the following safety tips: Never leave children unattended in a vehicle, even for a minute. Woman arrested after stealing pickup with owner inside bed of truck in north Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A woman is in custody after allegedly stealing a pickup truck while the owner was still inside the vehicle’s bed in the 17800 block of Tomball Parkway. According to Constable Mark Herman, Precinct 4 deputies responded around 9:02 p.m. on September 11, 2025, after the owner of the pickup reported it stolen. The owner remained in the truck bed as the suspect drove away and stayed on the phone with 911 dispatchers, helping deputies track the vehicle in real time. Deputies located the vehicle and safely recovered the truck’s owner, who was not injured. PHILADELPHIA – John Murray Rowe Jr., 67, of Lead, South Dakota, was sentenced to 126 months in prison, three years of supervised release, and a $25,000 fine for attempted espionage, U.S. Attorney David Metcalf announced alongside the Justice Department and the FBI. Rowe pleaded guilty in April 2024 to one count of attempted delivery of national defense information to a foreign government and three counts of willful communication of national defense information. The charges stem from a December 2021 indictment.
