Man killed after running across North Freeway near North Main

HOUSTON, TX – A homeless man was fatally struck while running across the North Freeway near North Main late Friday night. https://youtu.be/OJqWh-OXfMY The incident occurred around 10:36 p.m. when the man attempted to cross the freeway and swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle. The driver also swerved in the same direction, resulting in the man being hit. The victim was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The driver remained at the scene and did not appear to be intoxicated, though field sobriety tests were conducted to confirm. No charges have been filed at this time, as the driver had the right of way. The Houston Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Division is handling the investigation.

Man found with multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Westridge

HOUSTON, TX — A 22-year-old man was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 2400 block of Westridge just before 8:30 p.m. tonight. https://youtu.be/Hs5Ywb_2WIk Officers with the Houston Police Department responded to the shooting call and located the victim in the parking lot.
