KINGWOOD, TX – An investigation is underway after an 18-wheeler collided with an HFD engine around 3:36 a.m. on the southbound Northpark entrance ramp to the Eastex Freeway. DAYTON, TX – Life Flight was called after a vehicle was struck by a truck on US-90 and pushed into two Buddhist monks who are part of a group walking across the country on a peace walk. https://youtu.be/9CayQ1JT_KQ The incident occurred on U.S. 90 near Wolfe Island Road just north of 99. Dayton police stated the monks were walking on the shoulder with a vehicle following behind them with its hazard lights on when a truck hit the vehicle, forcing it into the monks. Two monks were taken to a hospital. One was flown by helicopter with serious lower-body injuries, and the second was transported by ambulance with minor injuries.
