HOUSTON, TX – A Texas Southern University student has been charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of Tyler Martinez. https://youtu.be/5NTTNMsOBKU The suspect, 22-year-old Mr. Robinson, appeared in Harris County Probable Cause Court overnight, where he was formally charged with first-degree felony murder. He is accused of shooting Martinez during an altercation. According to court records, Robinson admitted to participating in the shooting. The court heard that during a fight, a woman associated with Robinson retrieved a firearm from a vehicle and handed it to him. Witnesses stated that as the physical struggle ended, Martinez appeared to have withdrawn from the conflict. Midwest Patrol officers responded and found a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers performed CPR until Houston Fire Department personnel arrived and continued life-saving efforts.
