When officers arrived, the grandson reportedly began fighting with them as well. The woman, believed to be in her mid-60s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. HOUSTON, TX – Arson is suspected in a fire that occurred early Saturday morning at a vacant residence in the 1200 block of Bigelow Street. https://youtu.be/2PFulE-vY_w HFD responded to the scene around 12:47 a.m. and confirmed that the home had no power and was unoccupied at the time of the fire. According to HFD, they believe someone may have thrown a rock and intentionally set the fire. The homeowner reportedly lives next door. No injuries were reported. HFD Arson is investigating the incident.

Upon arrival, officers and Houston Fire Department personnel located an overturned vehicle off the roadway. One adult male was found at the scene and pronounced deceased. The truck then reversed and fled the scene, heading north on Oates Road. The driver of the struck vehicle got back into his car and pursued the fleeing truck. The final outcome of the chase is unknown at this time.
