A 21-year-old female had been shot in the leg, and a 19-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound to his foot. Both victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time but they are expected to survive. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are unknown at this time. According to the Houston Police Department, one of the vehicles involved flipped and caught fire. A person injured in the crash was transported to Ben Taub Hospital, where they were later pronounced deceased. During the initial investigation, officers learned the shooting had occurred outside the lounge. Upon arrival, HPD Eastside patrol officers and Houston Fire Department personnel confirmed the presence of a deceased male who appeared to have been in the bayou for some time. The HPD Dive Team was called to recover the body. The Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office will perform an autopsy to determine the official cause of death. HOUSTON, TX – A Houston Fire Department firefighter was reportedly assaulted by an arson suspect while responding to a trash fire behind a Dollar General. Officers and EMS personnel arrived to find an adult male deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. Preliminary information indicates the residents of the home had invited coworkers over for a gathering that involved alcohol. During the event, an incident occurred between the deceased and one of the residents, which led the resident to produce a firearm and shoot the man.
