HOUSTON, TX – A Houston Fire Department firefighter was reportedly assaulted by an arson suspect while responding to a trash fire behind a Dollar General. Preliminary information indicates the residents of the home had invited coworkers over for a gathering that involved alcohol. During the event, an incident occurred between the deceased and one of the residents, which led the resident to produce a firearm and shoot the man.
