GALVESTON COUNTY, TX - Last night, a woman was found deceased in a parking lot after being shot several times. HOUSTON, TX - One man is dead and six people are in the hospital after a fatal freeway crash. https://youtu.be/xIh-1CvA0kE The crash occurred just west of Federal on the inbound side of the East Freeway. According to police, the man was standing in the number one lane when a vehicle came and struck him. The driver of that vehicle went to the hospital. Following the crash, a second vehicle crashed into the first one. 5 occupants in that vehicle were transported to the hospital as well. It is not clear why the man was on the freeway but the crash remains under investigation.

HOUSTON, TX - A man is dead following a shooting at a gas station in northwest Houston. https://youtu.be/oeAZ6nmloZ4 The shooting occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the 11900 of Old hempstead. According to police, the man was found inside the convenience store with a gunshot wound to his chest. Witnesses were able to describe the suspect and his vehicle. Police were then able to locate the vehicle in a nearby neighborhood. This is a developing story and we will keep you updated as soon as we learn what led up to the shooting.

HOUSTON, TX - A father is dead after his wife performed CPR on him following a shooting. https://youtu.be/nBXOw6x308s This shooting took place around 12:30 a.m. in the 600 block of Loper. According to police, the family's vehicle was vandalized the night before by what they believed was a black truck. A neighbor spotted a similar vehicle passing by and notified the father. The father went outside to confront them. Shortly after, the family and neighbors heard gunshots and rushed outside to see him walking back from down the street. He then collapsed in front of his home. His wife at that point began CPR but he was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Houston Fire Department. WEBSTER, TX - A woman is dead after a shooting took place in a shopping center parking lot in Webster. https://youtu.be/HxLQzvcWLEk According to the Webster Police Department, around 11:40 p.m. a 35-year-old female was found in the 20800 block of the Gulf Freeway with several gunshot wounds. During the initial homicide investigation, police developed a person of interest. Negotiators spoke to the person of interest over the phone for several hours attempting to develop a peaceful resolution, however, around 5:30 p.m. on August 10, 2024 he was found deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the 4000 block of Beatrice Street in Dickinson, TX. Driver dies after crashing into two poles in Crosby

HARRIS COUNTY, TX - A man is dead after police say he struck two poles. https://youtu.be/8p1IYPkPEUY This occurred in the 14200 block of FM 2100 just after 5 a.m. According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, the man, a Hispanic male in his 40's was driving southbound on FM 2100 when he drove onto a curb, struck one pole and crashed into another. Police say that his airbags did deploy and he was not wearing his seatbelt. The crash is still under investigation and we will keep you posted with any updates as they become available

SAN FERNANDO VALLEY, Calif., August 9, 2024 — According to police, an off-duty officer was involved in a fatal shooting near the intersection of Haskell Avenue and Roscoe Boulevard. The incident led to a significant police response and a temporary shutdown of traffic in the area. Video is courtesy of the Citizen app Police closed the roads from Haskell Avenue to Orion, and multiple units were dispatched to the scene. Authorities began investigating a possible second suspect fleeing southbound near the 405 freeway. Shortly thereafter, police requested medical assistance for a suspect with a gunshot wound, while the investigation into the second suspect continued.
