According to police, officers responded to the townhome after the man pulled out a pistol and threatened his father. Officers were able to get the father and the mother out of the townhome safely but the male suspect barricaded himself in the garage that he lives in. FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas, July 10, 2024 – The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office Cold Case Team has exhumed remains in an effort to resolve a cold case from 1964, leveraging recent advancements in forensic biology and DNA analysis. Authorities hope these technological advances will generate new leads and help close the longstanding case. The remains, identified as those of a dark-haired white male approximately 6 feet tall and weighing between 180-185 pounds, were originally discovered on June 11, 1964, off FM 359 near the Jones Creek bridge. HOUSTON, July 14, 2024 – Jesus Ventura Lopez, 17, has been charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon following a shooting incident at 7400 Walker Street around 9:10 a.m. on Sunday. The 57-year-old victim was critically injured and is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital. HOUSTON, July 15, 2024 – Ralph Sample, 67, has been charged with murder in connection with the stabbing death of Paulette Francis, 62. The incident occurred at 8435 Tidwell Road around 2:55 p.m. on Monday. Houston Police Department (HPD) officers discovered Francis unresponsive, covered by blankets, following a report of a deceased person at the location. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene. An investigation revealed that Francis had sustained multiple stab wounds. HOUSTON, July 18, 2024 – Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a woman. The shooting occurred in the 11900 block of 7th Street at approximately 1:15 p.m. on April 21, 2024. Back in April, HPD was called after a report of a shooting. There, they found the victim, Rosenda Garcia Hernandez unresponsive in her vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. She was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Houston Fire Department. Man dies after being struck by pickup truck

HOUSTON, TX - A man is dead after being struck by a pickup truck Saturday night. This accident happened in the 8500 block of Mykawa just before midnight. According to police the man, believed to be in his 30s was either walking or running down the dark street when a pickup truck struck him and killed him. The driver of the pickup truck did stay at the scene but was detained after showing signs of intoxication.

Motorcyclist shoots man in neck who was walking down the street

HOUSTON, TX - A man is recovering after he was shot in the neck by a motorcyclist in west Houston. According to the Houston Police Department, the man was walking in the 1300 block of Witte Rd. when a motorcyclist approached him and opened fire. The man was transported to the hospital and was able to provide a detailed description of the suspect. The suspect was then located by HPD and taken into custody via traffic stop. The man is expected to survive.

HOUSTON, TX - A man was stabbed after an argument broke out early Sunday morning around 2:30 a.m. According to police, the man was in an altercation after leaving a nightclub in the 3000 block of Main Street. At one point during the altercation, he was stabbed one time in the chest. He was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive. Man found dead in storage shed in Midtown

HOUSTON, TX - A man was found dead in a storage shed Saturday night in the 2200 block of Milam in Midtown. According to the Houston Police Department's Homicide Division, two citizens were waiting for a bus when they were flagged down three other citizen's who stated there was a dead person in the shed. An adult male was found inside the shed and it is believed he may have died from blunt force trauma.
