HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Precinct 5 deputies responded to an in-progress call at a residence in the 3300 block of Piney Forest Drive Sunday evening. According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, deputies arrived to find an adult male and female, identified as husband and wife, both deceased. Preliminary information indicates the incident appears to be a murder-suicide. More information will be provided if updates become available.

SPLENDORA, TX – An ATV was pulled into a train north of Kingsport after a winch cable became entangled on the tracks Saturday evening. The Splendora Police Department said the incident occurred around 8:39 p.m. on August 30, 2025. Officers responding to the scene determined no one was injured, and the individuals involved had fled before police arrived. Investigators learned that unknown subjects had attempted to recover the ATV by stretching a winch cable across the tracks. A passing train became caught in the cable, pulling the ATV into the locomotive. Union Pacific inspectors were dispatched to examine the train and tracks.
