Texas deputies intercept $2.2 million marijuana shipment during midnight traffic stop
SAN JACINTO COUNTY, Texas – On October 25, 2024, just after midnight, San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office Patrol Deputies conducted a traffic stop of a commercial vehicle near Lee Turner and Trails End Roads. The investigation led to the seizure of 283.8 pounds of packaged marijuana, intended for delivery to the Northeastern United States. The seized load holds an estimated street value of $2.2 million, according to the HIDTA drug task force.
