HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A male teenager was injured in a shooting Friday evening near the entrance of Pep Mueller Park in the 14700 block of Henry Road. https://youtu.be/7BZ-XW0LwW4 According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, several teens were walking out of the park when they were approached by individuals in a vehicle. A brief verbal altercation occurred between the groups, during which several gunshots were fired. The male teenager was struck and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. PETALUMA, CA – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a SMART Train near the railroad trestle bridge over a tributary of the Petaluma River on Friday morning. The incident occurred at approximately 9:54 a.m. on October 17, 2025. According to the Petaluma Police Department, officers responded after receiving an emergency call from the SMART Train Dispatch Center regarding the collision. Upon arrival, police and Petaluma Fire Department personnel located the pedestrian on the north side of the train tracks. BATON ROUGE, LA – A 29-year-old man was fatally shot following a fight at a barbershop in the 9700 block of Platt Drive, police said. According to Baton Rouge Police, the incident occurred on October 15, 2025, at approximately 5:49 p.m. Homicide detectives learned that a dispute broke out between a patron and an employee at the business. The patron, later identified as Sylvester Bouligny III, reportedly left the shop and returned with two other Black males. The group confronted the employee, and a physical altercation ensued. PEORIA COUNTY, IL – A 32-year-old man was struck and killed by vehicles while walking in the roadway on Thursday night, according to the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded to the intersection of Airport Road and Monroe Road at approximately 9:30 p.m. on October 16, 2025, and located the man deceased in the roadway. SWIFTON, AR – Special Agents with the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division arrested a former Swifton police officer in connection with a house fire reported earlier this year. File Photo (October 2025) Benjamin Drake Slagley, 30, was arrested on October 13, 2025, and charged with one count of arson. The arrest stems from an August 30 fire at Slagley’s residence in Swifton, which he reported to 911 while still employed as an officer. Following the incident, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of ASP CID. Slagley has since resigned from his position with the Swifton Police Department. He was taken into custody and booked into the Jackson County Detention Center. The investigation remains ongoing.

NEWFANE, NY – The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office has identified the woman killed in a motor vehicle crash on Lockport-Olcott Road as 74-year-old Adele M. Sullivan of Lockport.
