Arkansas inmate found dead at Cummins Unit; homicide investigation underway

GOULD, AR – Special Agents with the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division are investigating the death of an inmate at the Arkansas Department of Corrections (ADC) Cummins Unit. Joseph Fairchild, 21, was found non-responsive during a security check at approximately 2 a.m. on Thursday, September 11. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Fairchild was serving a sentence for First-Degree Battery out of Pulaski County. A 25-year-old inmate who shared a cell with Fairchild has been identified as a suspect in the case. Fairchild’s body will be transported to the Arkansas State Crime Lab to determine the manner and cause of death.

Missing mother and daughter last seen in Judsonia found safe

JUDSONIA, AR – Taylor Mosley, 28, and her 7-year-old daughter, Jazzlen Mosley, who were the subjects of a Missing/Endangered Child Advisory issued by the Arkansas State Police, have been found safe. The advisory was initiated at the request of the White County Sheriff’s Office after the pair were last seen on September 2, 2025, near Raines Road in Judsonia. They were believed to be traveling with Landon Gleason in a 2013 black Chevrolet Cruze. Authorities have since confirmed that both Taylor and Jazzlen have been located and are safe. MEMPHIS, TN – A nine-count federal indictment has been unsealed in the Western District of Tennessee, charging six alleged members of the Unknown Vice Lords (UVL) – Ghost Mob gang with conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, and firearms violations stemming from a retaliatory shooting in 2020. According to court documents, the UVL Ghost Mob, a subset of the Almighty Vice Lord Nation originating in Chicago, is accused of conducting a coordinated attack on rival gang members following a prior shooting that left four people injured. In the early hours of Sept. 7, 2020, the defendants allegedly opened fire on a rival gang member's residence with assault-style rifles, discharging 40 to 50 rounds. Man arrested after being found unconscious with gun in McDonald’s drive-thru

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A man was arrested after deputies found him unconscious with a handgun in his hand in the drive-thru of a McDonald’s in the 27500 block of Cypresswood Drive. The incident occurred around 11:12 p.m. on September 10, 2025. Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded and located the male driver, identified as Cameron Bennett, passed out with a handgun in his left hand. Deputies secured the weapon before detaining him. According to Constable Mark Herman, Bennett was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. PHILADELPHIA, PA – Laye Sekou Camara, 47, a former Liberian rebel commander known as “General K-1” and “Dragon Master,” was sentenced today to 57 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to four counts of visa fraud. According to court records, Camara concealed his role in the Liberians United for Reconciliation and Democracy (LURD) rebel group to enter the United States in 2010 and later obtained permanent residency and a green card by falsely claiming on immigration forms that he had never committed or been involved in extrajudicial killings, paramilitary activities, or the use of child soldiers. MEMPHIS, TN – A former employee of a DVD and Blu-ray manufacturing company was sentenced today to 57 months in federal prison for stealing hundreds of pre-release movie discs and selling them online, as well as for illegally possessing a firearm. According to court documents, 38-year-old Steven R. Hale of Memphis worked for a multinational company that manufactured and distributed DVDs and Blu-rays for major movie studios. Between February 2021 and March 2022, Hale stole pre-release copies of films including F9: The Fast Saga, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Godzilla v. Kong, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Dune, and Black Widow. Federal prosecutors said Hale sold the stolen discs through e-commerce sites. BILLINGS, MT – Multiple employees were hospitalized after a methamphetamine incineration incident caused smoke to fill the Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter on September 10, 2025, according to the Billings Police Department. BEAUMONT, TX – Beaumont Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run after a man was found deceased in a grassy median along the highway on Sunday morning.
