HARRIS COUNTY, TX - The alleged shooter in the killing of off-duty Harris County Precinct 3 Deputy Constable Omar Ursin has been taken into custody. According to court documents, Douglas Wooten rolled down the back window of a vehicle and fired four shots at the car Ursin was driving. Ursin then crashed into a tree and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Court documents also reveal that Wooten claimed he fired because Ursin allegedly pointed a gun at him and others. HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Deputies are asking for the public’s help in locating 58-year-old Timothy "Tim" Bristow, who was reported missing on December 3, 2024. Bristow was last seen leaving his home near Jersey Village in a black Jeep Grand Cherokee with Texas license plate NVL1819. He is described as 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 195 pounds. Details of his clothing at the time of his disappearance are unknown. HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Joel Enrique Gonzalez Chacin is facing felony intoxication manslaughter charges after causing a crash that killed a child and also hospitalized the driver of the vehicle the child was in. https://youtu.be/LYDG4HjeJb0 According to Constable Mark Herman, the crash occurred early Sunday morning in the 10900 block of Bammel North Houston Road. Investigators determined that Gonzalez Chacin, who displayed signs of intoxication at the scene, collided with another vehicle. The child who was a passenger in the other vehicle was later pronounced deceased at a hospital. The other driver was hospitalized as well. HUMBLE, TX – A structure fire was reported Monday afternoon at a single-family residence located at 2923 Quail Run Drive in Humble. https://youtu.be/mmbzy322sLQ The incident occurred around 1:53 p.m., and units from the Atascocita, Humble, and Eastex Fire Departments responded to the scene. The fire appears to have been contained to the interior of the home but this is not confirmed.
