Woman arrested for DUI and assault on officer after hit-and-run in Petaluma
PETALUMA, CA – A woman was arrested after allegedly fleeing a hit-and-run crash, driving over 100 mph on Highway 101, and assaulting a police officer during a DUI investigation.
At approximately 11:20 p.m. on September 17, 2025, Petaluma Police officers were dispatched to a hit-and-run collision with minor injuries. The suspect vehicle was quickly located traveling southbound on Highway 101. Officers initiated a traffic stop, and the driver pulled over to the shoulder.
During the traffic stop, officers observed signs of alcohol intoxication and began a DUI investigation. The driver, identified as Alicia Wright, allegedly pushed one of the officers and began violently resisting arrest.
