PETALUMA, CA – A woman was arrested after allegedly fleeing a hit-and-run crash, driving over 100 mph on Highway 101, and assaulting a police officer during a DUI investigation. At approximately 11:20 p.m. on September 17, 2025, Petaluma Police officers were dispatched to a hit-and-run collision with minor injuries. The suspect vehicle was quickly located traveling southbound on Highway 101. Officers initiated a traffic stop, and the driver pulled over to the shoulder. During the traffic stop, officers observed signs of alcohol intoxication and began a DUI investigation. MORGAN HILL, CA – A 28-year-old Gilroy man has been arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting that left a 17-year-old injured in Morgan Hill earlier this month. Officers with the Morgan Hill Police Department responded to multiple reports of gunfire in the 100 block of Ciolino Avenue around 12:13 a.m. on September 13, 2025. Upon arrival, officers found several bullet casings on the street and sidewalk. While on scene, they learned that a 17-year-old victim with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds had been transported to Saint Louise Hospital. The victim has since been treated and released. VICTORVILLE, CA – Authorities are searching for two suspects who opened fire on three men late Wednesday night in the 16000 block of Burwood Road, near Mojave Vista Park. The shooting occurred around 11:16 p.m. on September 17, 2025. According to the Victorville Police Department, three male victims—ages 19, 20, and 21—were walking in the area when two unidentified Black male suspects approached them and fired multiple rounds. One of the victims was struck in the face. All three fled toward Mojave Vista Academy while the suspects chased them briefly on foot before fleeing the area in an unknown vehicle. FREMONT, CA – A man is in custody following a fatal stabbing that occurred shortly after noon on September 18, 2025, in the 600 block of Upper Vintners Circle. Fremont Police officers responded at approximately 12:01 p.m. to a report of an altercation between two individuals in front of a residence. Upon arrival, officers found an unresponsive victim suffering from significant stab wounds. Officers administered trauma care, but the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The second individual involved in the altercation was detained on site, and a knife was recovered. The suspect was identified as 29-year-old Varun Suresh, a Fremont resident.
