According to the Houston Police Department, a young Black male, believed to be in his 20s and dressed in all black, approached the victim and fired multiple shots into the vehicle, striking the man once in the arm. The suspect fled the scene on foot. The victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. Police said the homeowner, a woman in her late 70s, struck both suspects during the gunfight. The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene. Both suspects were transported to area hospitals, where one remains in critical condition and the other is in stable condition. Police confirmed there were other people inside the home at the time, but none of them exchanged gunfire with the suspects.
