The driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital. Three firefighters who were in the truck at the time of the crash were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

According to initial reports, the victim was with friends at a residence when he received a call from the suspect. The argument escalated, and shortly after, the suspect arrived at the location and began shooting into the vehicle where the victim was sitting. The shooting occurred around 3:15 p.m. in the McDonald's parking lot located at 185 West Road. According to police, Houston Fire Department personnel arrived on the scene and found the victim unresponsive.
