HOUSTON, TX – A man in his mid-30s was shot once in the leg during an incident at an apartment complex in the 1800 block of Wirt Road around 9 p.m. https://youtu.be/5ttBkMVmgLc According to initial information, the suspect arrived at the apartment complex looking for an individual he knows through cutting hair. The resident, who lives with a roommate, answered the door, at which point the suspect displayed a weapon. The victim panicked and shut the door, prompting the suspect to fire three shots through it, striking the victim once in the leg. The victim's injuries are non-life-threatening, and he was transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Pedestrian fatally struck on North Freeway

Houston Police officers responded to reports of a pedestrian being struck and found an adult male who had been hit by a vehicle. According to police, the striking vehicle exited the freeway, contacted emergency services, and later returned to the scene. The pedestrian was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. It remains unclear why the pedestrian was on the freeway. No charges have been filed at this time.
