HOUSTON, TX – Two young girls were killed in a fire at a Greenspoint townhome late Wednesday night, and their mother and grandfather were also injured in the fire while trying to rescue the children. https://youtu.be/ivR53-otz_Y The Houston Fire Department responded to the blaze around 11 p.m. at a townhome complex near Casa Grande Drive and Buckle Lane, where crews encountered heavy fire. The mother and grandfather were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment. About 60 firefighters responded to contain the blaze and prevent further damage. The Houston Fire Department’s arson unit is investigating the cause. The names and ages of the children have not been released.

HOUSTON, TX – HPD officers responded to the 3400 block of Richmond Ave near the Greenway Plaza area after a man climbed up onto a school bus. Video footage from the Citizen app shows officers responding to the scene to get the man down. It is unknown if anyone was injured or taken into custody or why he decided to climb on top of the school bus in the first place. More information will follow if it becomes available.

According to investigators, the man was driving a vehicle when he became involved in a confrontation with another man on a bicycle. During the encounter, the man in the car was shot. He then drove a short distance before crashing into a ditch and a utility pole. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim is described as a male in his mid-40s. The suspect on the bicycle fled the scene and has not been located. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage in the area in hopes of identifying him.

At the same time, a black Ford Taurus was stopped in the number 2 southbound lane.
