DODGE COUNTY, WI – A 64-year-old woman from Janesville was killed in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of County Highway I and County Highway E in the town of Burnett. The crash occurred at approximately 11:26 a.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025. According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, the woman was driving a 2020 Chevy Blazer northbound on County Highway I when her vehicle entered the intersection and was struck by a westbound 2005 Sterling dump truck. The dump truck was being driven by a 66-year-old man from Randolph. County Highway E has the right-of-way at the intersection, while County Highway I is controlled by stop signs. OAK GROVE, WI – A Fox Lake man has died from injuries sustained in a three-vehicle crash that occurred on September 13, 2025, near the intersection of County Highway A/I and County Highway W, approximately 1.5 miles west of Juneau. According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, the initial investigation found that Karri Alwin, 52, of Oconomowoc, was driving a pickup truck southbound on County Highway A and attempted to turn left onto County Highway W. At the time, oncoming northbound traffic was slowing or stopped to make a left turn westbound when a motorcycle, legally overtaking traffic on the right, collided with the turning pickup. BARRON, WI – Authorities have identified the suspect involved in the homicide at 650 Candy Lane in Barron as 17-year-old Marcus Hinojosa of Almena. According to investigators, Hinojosa died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound following the incident. Law enforcement determined that Hinojosa and the 17-year-old female victim were in a relationship and that the female was pregnant. Around 2 p.m., the victim’s family arrived at the apartment, and the juvenile female entered. Hinojosa then shot her inside the apartment. LOMIRA, WI (October 6, 2025) – According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, Drug Task Force members conducted a traffic interdiction on September 26 in northeastern Dodge County, where a deputy contacted occupants of a vehicle at Kountry Korners in the village of Lomira. K9 Bak alerted to the vehicle, and a search recovered a significant amount of suspected methamphetamine and numerous items of drug paraphernalia. Michael Kreisle, 41, of Appleton, and passenger Stephanie Neuser, 38, of Appleton, were arrested and booked into the Dodge County Jail. JANESVILLE, WI – A man is in custody after allegedly firing a gun during a domestic-related dispute inside a parked vehicle with two children in the backseat, according to the Janesville Police Department. Officers responded around 3:20 a.m. on September 23 to the 1600 block of Milton Avenue after reports of shots fired. When they arrived, a woman told police that while she was sitting in her parked vehicle, a man identified as Daniel Cordova pulled out a gun during an argument and fired a shot inside the car. He was last seen in the 200 block of Jones Street wearing a black Nike T-shirt, dark blue tie-dye shorts, and white Nike tennis shoes.
