The driver also swerved in the same direction, resulting in the man being hit. The victim was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The driver remained at the scene and did not appear to be intoxicated, though field sobriety tests were conducted to confirm. No charges have been filed at this time, as the driver had the right of way. The Houston Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Division is handling the investigation.
