Stolen vehicle catches fire after suspects crash during overnight chase

HOUSTON, TX – An overnight police pursuit ended in a fiery crash in northeast Houston. https://youtu.be/O0YJGYnOVMI The crash occurred around 1:10 a.m. in the 6500 block of Lockwood. The chase lasted less than 15 minutes. Two suspects were inside a stolen vehicle that caught fire after crashing. Police were able to remove them from the vehicle. According to the Houston Police Department, both suspects were transported to the hospital with minor injuries from the crash, not from burns. No other injuries were reported.

Constable deputies find unattended dog in home with lockbox on door

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the 8500 block of Mallardcrest Drive after receiving a report of a dog possibly left unattended inside a residence. A lockbox was found on the front door, and attempts to contact the previous homeowner were unsuccessful. Animal Control was contacted out of concern for the dog’s welfare to ensure its safety. Repeat offender arrested after smashing store door, stealing pills on Northwest Freeway

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – According to Constable Mark Herman, deputies responded to a theft in progress in the 27150 block of the Northwest Freeway. Photo Courtesy of Pct. 4 The suspect stole muscle relaxer pills, and when the store owner locked the doors to prevent his escape, he smashed the front door, causing $3,000 in damage. Deputies also linked him to a previous theft involving the same pills. The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office took the suspect into custody. Traffic stop leads to arrest of suspect wanted for burglary of a habitation

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A traffic stop in north Harris County resulted in the arrest of a wanted suspect on an open warrant out of Fort Bend County. The stop occurred around 6:05 p.m. on August 17, 2025, in the 18700 block of Timarron Drive. According to Constable Mark Herman, deputies determined the driver, Jaraad Henderson, had an active misdemeanor warrant for Burglary of a Habitation. The warrant was confirmed, and Henderson was taken into custody without incident. Henderson was booked into the Harris County Jail on the open warrant. HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A suspected drunk driver was arrested after crashing into patrol units and striking deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office, leaving both deputies seriously injured. According to Constable Mark Herman, a male Corporal was transported by LifeFlight to Hermann Hospital, while a female deputy was transported by ground ambulance to the same hospital. Constable Herman’s Accident Investigation Unit determined that the at-fault driver, identified as Wilfredo Chaves Arzola, showed multiple signs of intoxication. HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A woman was arrested after crashing through bushes, striking an iron gate, and leaving the scene without giving information. Frisco mother arrested after infant dies in hot car

FRISCO, TX – The Frisco Police Department has arrested a Dallas woman in connection with the death of her infant left in a hot vehicle earlier this month. On August 16, 2025, Plano Police notified Frisco Police of a possible infant death that occurred within Frisco city limits. Officers and detectives responded to Medical City Plano, where they learned the child’s mother, 27-year-old Vanessa Esquivel, had arrived for work in the 3200 block of Preston Road around 2 p.m. that day. According to investigators, Esquivel intentionally left her 15-month-old child inside a vehicle without working air conditioning for more than two hours, while outside temperatures exceeded 95 degrees.
