BAYTOWN, TX – Baytown police are investigating a shooting that occurred at the Laguna Azul Apartments in the 1200 block of Northwood Drive about 10 p.m. Friday, August 15. https://youtu.be/0uoBxKwsNL4 Officers arrived on scene and located a 19-year-old male from Baytown with gunshot wounds to his legs. Officers immediately applied a tourniquet, and the victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. The case remains under investigation. HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A man died after being shot by a Harris County Precinct 4 deputy following the fatal shooting of his son-in-law during a child custody dispute, according to Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman. https://youtu.be/ARCFu4ajBRI The incident happened Thursday in the 11000 block of Tanglehead Court, near Antoine Drive and North Sam Houston Parkway. Officials said Rafael Rodriguez, 73, shot his son-in-law, identified by family as Franklin Portillo, outside the home. Portillo was at the residence with his two young children. Family members stated Portillo’s wife, Rodriguez’s daughter, died two years ago. A responding deputy shot Rodriguez, and both men went down. CPR was administered to both victims.
