HOUSTON, Texas (January 19, 2024)
– The Houston Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred during a robbery attempt on Friday night in the parking lot of an apartment complex at 9000 Beechnut Street.
According to police, the incident took place before 9 p.m. A woman in the parking lot was approached by several men who attempted to rob her. The situation escalated into an argument, leading to the men opening fire on the woman. She sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive her injuries. Several witnesses were present during the incident and have been questioned by the police.
Investigators are currently working to identify the suspects involved in this case.
