HOUSTON – A fatal car accident that claimed the life of 17-year-old Marissa Romain occurred around 1:40 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, on Dixie Farm Road.
According to police, Marissa Romain was driving a 2009 black Mitsubishi Galant eastbound near the 1800 block of Dixie Farm Road when her vehicle struck a curb and she lost control. The car then veered to the right, hitting a concrete ditch and a tree. The impact caused Marissa to be partially ejected from the vehicle.
Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced Marissa deceased at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
