HOUSTON, TEXAS — Dr. Candice Matthews posted a public statement on social media accusing QX Global News Network of publishing content she described as racially charged and demeaning toward Black people, particularly Black women.

In the post, Dr. Matthews said the outlet is operated by Jenifer Knighton, who publicly identifies herself as “Jenifer Knighton BS, LCDC, CART,” and as Owner and Founder of QX Global News Network LLC. Dr. Matthews characterized the outlet’s content as part of a continued pattern of attacks against Black women. She cited the language, imagery, and hashtags used in a recent post as the basis for her claims.
In a statement, Dr. Matthews said, “What she is doing is using racist, tropes and racist monitors as a dog whistle to that ultra right wing racist base.”
Dr. Matthews added that these tactics often target specific ethnic groups and said the concept has been explained in greater detail by Malcolm X in previously recorded speeches.
Dr. Matthews also referenced Rosemary Tucker of Hoodies 4 Healing, describing her as a private citizen who has been feeding the homeless since 2020. Tucker has allegedly been harassed and cyberbullied; those actions have reportedly caused harm to Tucker’s foundation and reputation.

Separately, court records show that Knighton filed a 40-page civil lawsuit naming Dr. Matthews, Quanell X, and Grizzys Hood News as defendants back in November 2025, but it has yet to be served. Knighton is still without legal representation.

Knighton has repeatedly publicly identified herself using the credentials “BS, LCDC, CART.” Commonly, “BS” refers to a Bachelor of Science degree, “LCDC” refers to a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, and “CART” refers to Certified Addiction Recovery Therapist. At the time of publication, no publicly verifiable information confirming that Knighton holds these degrees or licenses was located.
No response from QX Global News Network or Knighton was referenced at the time of publication.
