HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A man died after being involved in a fight with another man in the 11000 block of Freeport.
Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded around 7:30 p.m. to what was initially reported as a medical emergency. When they arrived, they found a man unresponsive for unknown reasons.
Deputies began lifesaving efforts until EMS arrived and took over. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators said the victim may have been involved in a physical altercation earlier with another male. That individual later returned to the scene and told deputies he had been in a fight with the victim. A witness reportedly identified the two men as having been involved in the altercation.
At this time, investigators said they do not know whether the victim had injuries consistent with a gunshot or stabbing. The victim, believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s, has not been identified.
Homicide detectives are canvassing the area for surveillance video as the investigation continues.
