HOUSTON, TX – Dr. Candice Matthews led a protest outside the homes of individuals she identified as leaders of QX Global, calling attention to allegations of racism, online harassment and human trafficking.
During the demonstration, Dr. Matthews stated she was protesting outside the residence of Jenifer Knighton, alleging that Knighton trafficked her own daughter to Mexico and questioning the whereabouts of the child, whom she identified as Jasmine. Dr. Matthews said the matter had been reported to the FBI and Harris County authorities and claimed the child had been missing since 2022.
Police were called to the residence. Video from the scene shows officers speaking with Dr. Matthews and advising participants to remain off private property and on the public sidewalk. Officers did not report any wrongdoing by the protesters.
The group later traveled to the home of Eric Sanchez, whom Dr. Matthews identified as another leader of QX Global. She accused Sanchez and Knighton of posting racist depictions of Black and Brown people online and of harassing individuals through the platform. Sanchez did not come outside during the protest.
Police were also called to that location. Officers again advised the group to remain off private property. No citations or arrests were reported, and officers did not find any violations by the protesters.
At one point, Dr. Matthews stated she planned to contact the SPCA regarding the condition of dogs observed at the residence.
The allegations made during the protest have not been independently verified.
