NBA Ben 10 among two critically injured after shooting inside Confessions on Kirby Drive

HOUSTON, TX – Two people were critically injured following a shooting inside Confessions on Kirby Drive after a physical altercation escalated into gunfire.

The shooting occurred at a venue in the 3200 block of Kirby Drive. Around 20 to 30 patrons and staff were inside at the time.

According to the Houston Police Department, a physical altercation broke out after a group attempted to take a man’s chains. Police say the man was beaten by several people before pulling out a gun and firing, striking two individuals, but it is not known if they were bystanders or were part of the altercation.

One victim, believed to be in his late 20s, was shot multiple times in the torso. Another, believed to be in his mid-20s, was shot several times in his arms and legs. Both were transported to hospitals in very critical condition.

Police say one of the victims ran from Confessions and was later found in a nearby parking garage.

HPD has not confirmed the identities of those involved, but reports indicate NBA Ben 10 was injured in a shooting in Houston and is said to be alert and in good condition.

The gunman fled the scene on foot.
