Road Rage: Houston man caught on camera chasing driver through the Houston Heights

Some tense moments in the Heights were captured on camera as a driver in a pickup truck chased down a Mini-Cooper in an apparent road rage incident.

This happened around 8:30 p.m. on N. Main and I-45 on August 3, 2022. Both drivers could be heard coming down N. Main, towards I-45 at a high rate of speed. The driver of the green Mini-Cooper decided it would be best to drive into a McDonald’s parking lot and circle around it in an attempt to lose the black Ford F-150 Super Duty (King Ranch) truck that was chasing it. Fortunately, despite the Mcdonald’s being open, no kids were outside when the cars sped through the parking lot.

The Mini-Cooper driver then drove across the street to an Exxon gas station parking lot. There were quite a few customers here and the Mini-Cooper decided this would be a good place to stop and confront the pickup truck driver to try and get the driver to stop chasing him. The driver of the pick-up truck and the driver and the passenger of the Mini-Cooper exchanged words. At one point the pick-up truck driver tried to hit one of the Mini-Cooper driver occupants. It is not clear what happened, on the other side of the truck, but the pick-up truck driver did spit on one of the Mini-Cooper occupants.

The driver of the pickup truck, shown below was a caucasian male wearing a black t-shirt and brown loafers. His license plate # is RTZ 8034. The pickup truck driver decided to leave when the Mini-Cooper driver decided to call the Houston Police Department.
