HOUSTON – Dr. Matthews on Saturday issued a public statement calling for a full and independent investigation into allegations surrounding a pending Harris County criminal case, including questions about an alleged meeting at the private residence of a sitting judge before a scheduled court hearing.

According to Dr. Matthews, one of the central questions is why a several-time convicted felon was allegedly present at the private residence of Judge Damiane “Dianne” Curvey on Sunday, June 28, 2026, two days before Aisha Shahid’s first scheduled court appearance on June 30.

Dr. Matthews stated she received information alleging that Natalie Stewart and an alleged confronted felon were present at Judge Curvey’s residence that day and that she has information regarding transportation to and from the residence, after an Uber driver allegedly picked Stewart up from the home.

Natalie Stewart allegedly has a felony record. Below are her screenshots of her court cases and mugshots.

Dr. Matthews further stated she received allegations that discussions occurred during the Uber ride concerning Shahid’s pending criminal case and possible communications involving Judge Guice. She called for those allegations to be independently investigated by the appropriate authorities.
(Shahid was the woman who confronted and allegedly made terroristic threats against Dr. Matthews at a restaurant last month.)
Also according to the statement, Dr. Matthews has submitted dash camera footage and other evidence to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office for review and said she expects the materials to be evaluated as part of any appropriate investigation.

Dr. Matthews also called for the preservation and review of all relevant communications, electronic records, phone records, and other potential evidence related to the allegations.
“If anyone attempted to improperly influence or interfere with a pending criminal proceeding, the public deserves to know the truth, and anyone who violated the law or judicial ethics should be held accountable,” Dr. Matthews said in the statement.

At this time, no court or law enforcement agency has publicly confirmed the allegations contained in the statement, and no findings of wrongdoing have been announced involving Judge Curvey, Judge Guice, Natalie Stewart, or any other individual mentioned.
