HOUSTON — One man was pronounced deceased following a fiery crash at Potomac Drive and Woodway Drive.

Police say an SUV was traveling northbound on Potomac Drive at a high rate of speed when it crossed the median and struck a tree around 10:20 p.m. The SUV broke apart and caught fire following the impact.

Several people in the area reported hearing the crash. No other occupants were inside the vehicle.
