HOUSTON, TX – A motorcyclist was pronounced deceased after falling from a flyover onto U.S. 59 northbound around 11:35 p.m.

Police believe the man was traveling southbound on Interstate 45 and taking the elevated ramp to U.S. 59 northbound when his motorcycle went over the railing.

The rider landed in a grassy area before coming to rest along the edge of U.S. 59 northbound under Peirce Street. He was believed to be in his 20s.

Police initially received reports of a crash but had difficulty locating it. No witnesses reported seeing the rider go over the railing.

Investigators are working to determine whether another vehicle was involved.
