HOUSTON, TX - Two people are dead after a crash involving a wrong-way driver shut down the Eastex Freeway early Sunday morning. There is not a lot of information at this time. What we do know is the crash happened Sunday morning around 2:30 a.m. Police say a driver heading northbound in the southbound lanes collided with another vehicle. Both vehicles each had one occupant that was pronounced deceased at the scene.

HOUSTON, TX - Two men were shot at Zunex Sports Bar in Houston after one of them stole a waitress's phone. https://youtu.be/AqJ04r0G11Y This started to occur just before 2 a.m. According to police a waitress who was tending to the bar at the time, walked away and left her phone at the bar. When she came back, she noticed her phone was missing. The manager then reviewed video footage and noticed that a man who was at the bar drinking with his friend stole the phone. The waitress then confronted the man about the stolen phone and he denied it. She then called her boyfriend who was nearby, and he stopped by to confront the man who stole her phone. This led to a physical escalation. The boyfriend then went to grab a gun out of his car and hit the man in the head with the gun. ...

Houston Police have now announced that Juan Depaz, Junior was arrested after being indicted for his role in a crash that killed three people back on November 13, 2022. This crash occurred in the 2900 block of West Dallas shortly after 2 a.m. https://youtu.be/pbvTqRAZrps Police say Depaz was driving a Jeep and failed to maintain a single lane and struck a Maserati Ghibli. Depaz, along with his passengers fled on foot from the crash. Two people in the Maserati were killed in the crash, and a third one was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased, bringing the total to 3 victims. The driver of the Maserati also fled but was brought back to the scene by family members and was subsequently transported to the hospital in stable condition.

HARRIS COUNTY, TX (May 5, 2024) - A man is dead after his adult stepson shot him after an argument. The shooting occurred in the 12000 block of Meadowview Drive. https://youtu.be/sTNWWh0rbjk According to investigators, the stepfather and stepson had just returned from a crawfish broil at a neighbor's home when they started to have a verbal argument that turned physical. The stepfather then retrieved an airsoft gun and the stepson retrieved a real handgun. A few minutes later, the stepson shot the father in the upper torso one time. EMS responded along with the Harris County Sheriff's Office and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. The suspect has been identified as Lazarus Williams. He is being charged with the murder of his stepdad, Shawn Williams.

HOUSTON, TX (May 5, 2024) - Deputies responded to the Haverstock Hills Apartment Complex around 1 a.m. and found a male lying on a sidewalk in a parking lot of the complex with with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased by EMS on scene. https://youtu.be/GZXFgbm3Xtc According the Harris County Sheriff's Office, despite several tenants hearing gunshots, no one saw the actual shooting. HOUSTON, TX (May 5, 2024) - A man and a woman, have been hospitalized after being shot in the head during a road rage shooting. The shooting took place around 2:45 a.m. Sunday morning on the Eastex Freeway. https://youtu.be/4m7f6V4y2lA According to police, both parties were traveling from the Deerpark/Pasadena area when they both thought they were being followed by one another. At one point, a shooting broke out on the Eastex Freeway between Parker and Crosstimbers. It is not known at this time who shot first but one person is in custody. Two people in one vehicle, a male driver and a female passenger were struck in the head. Both of them were taken to the hospital. As of the last update, the female was in critical condition and the male was in stable condition.

HOUSTON, TX (May 4, 2024) - One person is dead after a family disturbance led to a shooting. https://youtu.be/vdsElqrYfSw The shooting occurred in the 800 block of Ringold around just after 10 p.m. According to police, one suspect is in custody. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The case remains under investigation.

HOUSTON, TX (May 4, 2024) - A McDonald's customer was shot and killed after an altercation broke out around 6 p.m. Saturday night in the 8100 block of the Katy Freeway. https://youtu.be/wbYz6UtBfCw According to police, officers responded to a shooting call for service and found a male with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased on scene. What led up to the altercation is still under investigation.

Update 5/6/2024 - Accoding to a new press release, the white jeep was rear ended while changing lanes. HOUSTON, TX (May 4, 2024) - A white jeep was rear-ended by a motorcycle while changing lanes in the 11700 block of the Gulf Freeway around 10 p.m. This happened in the northbound lanes near the Edgbrook exit . https://youtu.be/wXa8uDJLN58 According to police, the driver of the white jeep was transported to the hospital with minor injuries but the motorcyclist did not make it and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HOUSTON – An officer on routine patrol discovered a woman lying in the middle of a secluded street at approximately 10 p.m. in the 13400 block of Anagnost. The woman believed to be in her mid-20s, was found under unclear circumstances. Shell casings were located on the street, but it remains unclear whether she was shot or struck by a vehicle. The HPD’s Homicide Division will be investigating to determine what happened.
