HOUSTON, TX (Dec. 30, 2023) - According to police, at approximately 1:29 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Hussion Street in response to a violent altercation. The incident involved an exchange of gunshots between an individual and a security guard. The injured security guard received immediate medical attention and was taken to a local hospital for surgery. The suspect fled the scene, and their identity remains unknown. Houston Police are investigating and request that anyone with information contact their Major Assaults unit or Crimestoppers.

Unable to locate another friend inside, he texted the woman outside that he was returning. As he walked down the road, a black, older, smaller sedan passed by. The female witness then heard two gunshots and saw the victim, her friend, with a gunshot wound in his arm. The victim was uncertain why he was shot and did not know who would want to shoot him. The suspect, a black male in his mid-forties wearing all black and some type of wig, confronted the victim while he was taking out the trash. The employee tried to block the suspect from entering through the back door of the Wendy's but the suspect decided to shoot him in the leg.
