The fire was reported at around 12 a.m. , and the first unit arrived within three minutes, observing visible flames at one end of the building before initiating extinguishment efforts. According to police, the victim had just left his girlfriend’s apartment and was heading home when he encountered three Hispanic males of similar age. Witnesses reported overhearing a conversation in English, with one suspect saying, “You don’t want it to go down like this” or something similar. According to police, the victim was shot multiple times in the upper body. He was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
