HOUSTON, TX - July 14, 2023 - Houston Police responded to a report of a suspicious male armed with a firearm in the 7100 block of Clarewood around 7:30 p.m. Upon arriving at the location, officers discovered a makeshift boxing ring where an illegal boxing match was taking place. Approximately 500 people were inside, and officers reported a strong smell of marijuana permeating the area. The police also found several tables set up with various narcotics available for sale, including marijuana, mushrooms, and other unidentified substances. The street value of the narcotics discovered on the scene is currently unknown. The police are now investigating the incident. More information will be shared as the investigation proceeds.

On July 15, 2023, at approximately 11:15 p.m., the Harris County Sheriff's Office DWI Enforcement Unit began a pursuit of a vehicle reportedly racing on Sam Houston Parkway in Houston. The pursuit continued for about 12 miles before ending when the suspect vehicle crashed into a house at the intersection of Foy and Wardmont. The crash resulted in four injuries. The three occupants of the vehicle were transported to a local hospital. The front-seat passenger of the vehicle sustained serious injuries.
