ATASCOCITA, TX - Atascocita was not sparred from Hurricane Beryl. Several trees and power lines were spotted in the area Monday morning. One person was also found deceased at a home in Atascocita on Heather Grove Ct after a tree fell on their home.

Driver dies after being ejected from vehicle, vehicle ends up in bayou

HOUSTON, TX - A driver is dead after being ejected from a vehicle. The vehicle ended up in a bayou. This occurred in the 7900 block of Harwin just before 4 a.m. Police say the driver lost control while traveling eastbound, and hit a concrete retainer wall and a fence. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Houston Fire Department.

Man dies after losing control of vehicle while exiting Katy Freeway

HOUSTON, TX - A man is dead after losing control of his vehicle while exiting the Katy Freeway. The accident occurred near Park Ten and the Katy Freeway just before 2 a.m. According to police, the man who was driving a mustang was coming off the freeway when he lost control, and struck a brick barrier. This caused him to flip multiple times and caused the car to catch on fire. He was not able to get out of the vehicle. The male, believed to be Hispanic and in his 20's was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Narcotics found after deadly head-on crash on Atascocita Rd

HARRIS COUNTY, TX - A man is dead after a head-on crash on Atascocita Road early Sunday morning. https://youtu.be/ehRuUyRYZS4 The accident occurred around 1:30 a.m. According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, Donald Price was driving a red 2008 Ford F150 eastbound on Atascocita Road, between Wilson and Will Clayton. Price failed to maintain a single lane and crossed into westbound lanes of traffic where he struck a Toyota Sequoia head-on. Both drivers were transported to a local hospital but the driver of the Sequoia was pronounced deceased at 2:52 a.m. The Sheriff's Office says they found illegal narcotics in Price's possession and he tested for narcotics in his system and contacted the Harris County District Attorney's Office.

An intoxicated driver ran a red light, killed another driver along the Eastex Freeway

HOUSTON, TX - A red light runner caused a fatal crash at the intersection of Eastex Freeway and Tidwell last night. https://youtu.be/q9vXoh28DKY The accident happened around 8:30 p.m. Police say a driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee failed to stop at a red light, struck a Toyota RAV 4 and killed the driver while headed northbound along the Eastex Freeway. He was found to be intoxicated and was detained at the scene. A second intoxicated driver who had nothing to do with the accident, drove around the police barricade and was also detained during the investigation.

HOUSTON, TX - A man was reportedly shot in the parking lot of a store before driving to an apartment complex for help. https://youtu.be/snwHyZYU8og The shooting occurred around 11:30 p.m. We have not been able to verify with the Houston Police Department but according to a friend of the victim, her friend was shot in the leg at Supermercado Latino down the street on Windswept. He ended up at the Falls of Westpark apartments located at 6130 Southwest Freeway. She said he is expected to be okay and is at the hospital. Police were at both locations. Bullet holes were spotted in the front windows of the truck and police were in the parking lot of Supermercado Latino searching for evidence.

HCSO K-9 called to the end of a DPS chase that ended in Memorial Villages after one suspect fled

MEMORIAL VILLAGES, TX - A police chase initiated by Texas DPS ended in Memorial Villages early Saturday morning. https://youtu.be/Bc-0LwZLTCs The chase ended around 2:30 a.m. in the 1000 block of River Bend Drive in the Riverbend subdivision of Hunter's Creek Village. The chase came to a stop when suspects ended up on a cul-de-sac street. One suspect initially surrendered but the other took off on foot. The Houston Police Department assisted in the chase and the search. The Harris County Sheriff's Office provided a K-9 for the search of the second suspect. The scene was cleared around 4 a.m.
