Man shot and killed during an argument with roommate during Hurricane Beryl power outage

HARRIS COUNTY, TX - A man was shot by his roommate after an argument. https://youtu.be/5--TwBmpQ0E?si=cmvaPVZjABpbizx3 This happened in the 9200 block of Tracelawn around 9 p.m. According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, three adults were residing at a residence in a neighborhood that currently does not have power. They were drinking outside when an argument occurred between the two men. One of the males, the homeowner grabbed a pistol and shot the roommate, a white male who is 58 years old. The shooter is currently detained and is said to be cooperating with the investigation. Charges maybe referred to a grand jury.

Officers believed he ran into one building when a lady came out and said that a man with a rifle ran into her apartment. Officers then set up a perimeter and someone else popped out of that apartment and said the suspect was not there. HCSO SWAT Called for Barricaded Suspect Who Held Woman Hostage After Shooting at Deputies

HARRIS COUNTY, TX - The Harris County Sheriff's Office SWAT team was called after Sheriff Deputies were shot at by a suspect from an apartment. https://youtu.be/grut1YGegiE?si=Wh7_afvYM_aNVb_T This unfolded in the 500 block of Normandy around 7:30 p.m. According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the deputies did not return fire and were able to find cover. The male then retreated back inside the apartment and barricaded himself inside along with an adult female hostage. SWAT was called out to the scene while HCSO negotiators and other teammates communicated with the suspect according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. The suspect eventually surrendered peacefully and the woman was able to exit the apartment safely.

Driver dies after being ejected from vehicle, vehicle ends up in bayou

HOUSTON, TX - A driver is dead after being ejected from a vehicle. The vehicle ended up in a bayou. This occurred in the 7900 block of Harwin just before 4 a.m. Police say the driver lost control while traveling eastbound, and hit a concrete retainer wall and a fence. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Houston Fire Department.

Man dies after losing control of vehicle while exiting Katy Freeway

HOUSTON, TX - A man is dead after losing control of his vehicle while exiting the Katy Freeway. The accident occurred near Park Ten and the Katy Freeway just before 2 a.m. According to police, the man who was driving a mustang was coming off the freeway when he lost control, and struck a brick barrier. This caused him to flip multiple times and caused the car to catch on fire. He was not able to get out of the vehicle. The male, believed to be Hispanic and in his 20's was pronounced deceased at the scene.
