Couple found deceased in Fordyce home; ASP investigating

FORDYCE, Ark. – The Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division is conducting a death investigation following the discovery of two deceased individuals inside a residence in the 1700 block of West 4th Street. File Photo (August 2025) According to the Dallas County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the home around 11 a.m. on Monday, September 15, along with Fordyce Police, after receiving a report of two unresponsive people. Upon arrival, authorities located David Parham, 81, and Holly Parham, 70, both of Fordyce. They were pronounced deceased at the scene by the Dallas County Coroner. The bodies will be transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory to determine the cause and manner of death.

Man killed after being struck by garbage truck in Escondido

ESCONDIDO, CA – An adult male was killed Tuesday morning on Quince Street near Norlak Avenue after being struck by a garbage truck. File Photo (August 2025) Police received reports of the incident at 5:41 a.m. and arrived to find a pedestrian down in the roadway. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. His identity has not been released at this time. Initial findings indicate the man was in the roadway when a southbound garbage truck struck him. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Authorities confirmed that alcohol or drugs are not believed to be factors in the crash. Mississippi man arrested after robbery at Chino Hills shopping center

CHINO HILLS, CA – Deputies arrested a 29-year-old Mississippi resident after he brandished a knife and demanded a woman’s drink at The Shoppes at Chino Hills on Sept. 15. According to investigators, the victim was walking through a breezeway at the shopping center, located at 13920 City Center Drive, around 1:58 p.m. when the suspect approached her. He displayed a knife and demanded the tea she had purchased. The victim threw the drink at him, fled the area, and called 911. Deputies from the Chino Hills Station responded and detained the suspect, identified as Rashawn Lee. He was arrested and booked at West Valley Detention Center on a robbery charge. Trooper Jerry Wayne Adamick Jr. dies in San Jacinto County crash

AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) announced the death of Highway Patrol Trooper Jerry Wayne Adamick Jr., 44, following a traffic crash in San Jacinto County. According to DPS, Trooper Adamick was driving on FM 945 South around 9:15 p.m. on Sept. 15 when he was responding to assist law enforcement partners with an emergency call. His vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree, and caught fire. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash remains under investigation. "Our hearts are broken today," DPS Colonel Freeman F. NEW ORLEANS, LA – New Orleans Police are investigating a homicide after a man was found shot in the 2400 block of Mexico Street around 9:45 a.m. on September 16, 2025. Responding officers from the NOPD’s Third District located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported by New Orleans EMS to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Investigators determined the actual shooting occurred in the 6300 block of Arts Street. The victim fled from that location before collapsing on Mexico Street.
