HOUSTON, TX - A man is dead following a shooting at a gas station in northwest Houston. https://youtu.be/oeAZ6nmloZ4 The shooting occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the 11900 of Old hempstead. According to police, the man was found inside the convenience store with a gunshot wound to his chest. Witnesses were able to describe the suspect and his vehicle. Police were then able to locate the vehicle in a nearby neighborhood. This is a developing story and we will keep you updated as soon as we learn what led up to the shooting.

HOUSTON, TX - A father is dead after his wife performed CPR on him following a shooting. https://youtu.be/nBXOw6x308s This shooting took place around 12:30 a.m. in the 600 block of Loper. According to police, the family's vehicle was vandalized the night before by what they believed was a black truck. A neighbor spotted a similar vehicle passing by and notified the father. The father went outside to confront them. Shortly after, the family and neighbors heard gunshots and rushed outside to see him walking back from down the street. He then collapsed in front of his home. His wife at that point began CPR but he was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Houston Fire Department. WEBSTER, TX - A woman is dead after a shooting took place in a shopping center parking lot in Webster. https://youtu.be/HxLQzvcWLEk According to the Webster Police Department, around 11:40 p.m. a 35-year-old female was found in the 20800 block of the Gulf Freeway with several gunshot wounds. During the initial homicide investigation, police developed a person of interest. Negotiators spoke to the person of interest over the phone for several hours attempting to develop a peaceful resolution, however, around 5:30 p.m. on August 10, 2024 he was found deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the 4000 block of Beatrice Street in Dickinson, TX. According to the Houston Police Department, Two roommates got into a fistfight inside an apartment while they were drinking and barbecuing. A third roommate was able to de-escalate the situation and everyone went to bed. At one point the victim ran from the apartment and they went to look for him but couldn’t find him. HOUSTON, TX - A major crash involving a HPD patrol vehicle occurred in the 2300 block of Preston just before 6 a.m. this morning. It appears that one other civilian vehicle was involved but it is not known at this time what caused the crash. We are working to gather more information about this accident and will update this page as soon as we learn more.

HOUSTON, TX - The Houston Fire Department responded to a report of a fire in the back of the Palms on Westheimer Apartment complex a little before 5 a.m. this morning. https://youtu.be/hIp39AAgjhA Firefighters were able to extinguish it rather quickly and there was not any damage to the nearby properties.

HOUSTON, TX - A pedestrian was struck by a pickup truck and transported to a nearby hospital late Friday night in the 2100 block of Lockwood. https://youtu.be/LdZHp6OLDLc According to a witness, a pickup truck was traveling down Lockwood when it swerved to avoid another vehicle that was about to cross Lockwood. As the truck was swerving, it struck a pedestrian. The truck then fled the scene. The pedestrian's status is currently unknown at this time and we will update you as we learn more.

HOUSTON, TX - A woman was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds at an apartment complex Friday night. https://youtu.be/PKyHG0tmi60 According to the Houston Police Department, the woman was found in one of the garage hallways of 1711 Caroline, an apartment complex in Downtown Houston. She was found shortly after 11 p.m. The Houston Fire Department pronounced her deceased at the scene. Police do not have a suspect or motive for the shooting at this time.
