The suspects shot the victim three times in the arm, thigh, and leg before fleeing the scene. The victim then drove to the valet at the Westin Galleria hotel located at 5060 W Alabama, where he flagged down a Houston police officer working an extra job. According to investigators, the man, described as a Black male, appeared to be crossing from the freeway when he was hit by an unknown vehicle. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. HOUSTON, TX – Charges have been filed against 31-year-old Kedrick Davol Henry after a deadly shooting that claimed the life of 43-year-old Kenneth Henry Jr. at a home on Church Road. According to the Houston Police Department, officers responded to the 12500 block of Church Road around 3:25 p.m. on August 18, 2025, where they found Kenneth Henry Jr. lying inside a residence with at least one gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported him to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Investigators learned the victim had been taking out trash when a witness reported hearing multiple gunshots. He returned to the residence shortly afterward and collapsed in the doorway.
