HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Harris County Sheriff’s Office patrol units responded to reports of gunfire at a large party in the 4900 block of Hopper Road early Sunday morning. https://youtu.be/eY1Cu-ASUJI The call came in around 1:20 a.m., and deputies arriving on scene reported hearing multiple gunshots fired into the air. They observed an individual shooting rounds inside a fenced area of the property. Additional units were requested, and as attendees began leaving the party, deputies heard more gunfire. Several firearms were recovered, and multiple individuals were detained. No one is believed to have been struck by gunfire. One person was transported to a hospital for an unrelated injury. HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash late Friday night in northwest Harris County. https://youtu.be/qN8aPZrpPZM The crash happened around 10:25 p.m. in the 1700 block of Gears Road. According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division, 37-year-old Paul Edward Ramsey Jr. was walking in the left, westbound traffic lane when he was hit by a westbound 2011-2013 Nissan Rogue. The driver did not stop and continued westbound without rendering aid. Ramsey was transported to HCA Houston Healthcare–Northwest, where he was later pronounced deceased.
