Woman fatally shot during meetup in Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A woman was fatally shot Friday evening after parking in the 6200 block of Sierra Blanca with her brother and boyfriend for a meetup. https://youtu.be/KzlumNb-_i4 The shooting occurred around 7:21 p.m., and deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to an in-progress shooting call. Upon arrival, deputies found an adult white female inside a parked vehicle with an apparent gunshot wound. EMS personnel pronounced her deceased at the scene. According to investigators, the victim and her relatives were at the location for a meetup when an altercation broke out, and the victim was shot. The brother and boyfriend are cooperating with investigators. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the case.

Multiple witnesses have been detained as police continue gathering statements to determine what led up to the shooting.
