HOUSTON, TX – A generator caught fire early Saturday morning outside a senior living complex located at 9339 Buffalo Speedway. https://youtu.be/wcKnA6dKOHQ The Houston Fire Department responded to the fire at The Tradition – Buffalo Speedway around 5:10 a.m. Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames shortly after establishing a water supply. The generator was located outside the main building. The building does not appear to have sustained any damage.

Witnesses stated that as the physical struggle ended, Martinez appeared to have withdrawn from the conflict. Officers with the South Central Division responded and found that Houston Fire Department personnel were already on scene attempting to resuscitate the victim. The man had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene. According to police, the victim and suspect were involved in a physical altercation in the parking garage. The suspect then stepped back, pulled a firearm, and shot the victim several times. Police do have one person detained at this time.
